Are you celebrating Christmas at Walt Disney World? If so, you need to know the best restaurants to enjoy a meal during the festive holiday.
Christmas is one of the busiest times to visit Disney World. You definitely want to plan, especially your dining — and what you’ll be eating over Christmas.
Whether you’re looking for an actual meal, appetizers and drinks, the chance to take photos with characters in holiday attire, themed dining with entertainment, or holiday-style food, I believe these are some of the best options.
Keep in mind some Disney World restaurants (including my recommendations) will have holiday menus available on Christmas Day, December 25. Even if the following don’t, they are still great places to celebrate the holiday.
Here are the best 7 restaurants to celebrate Christmas at Disney World.

Best Restaurants to Celebrate Christmas at Disney World
Steakhouse 71

Steakhouse 71 is one of my favorite restaurants at Disney World. For a casual Table Service location, the food is phenomenal for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
This is where you can get the famous “Steakhouse 71 Chocolate Cake” that has 15 layers (one for every floor at the Contemporary). It contains layers of Jack Daniels-infused chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and raspberries.

The restaurant is named for the year the Contemporary first opened and is full of nostalgia, especially the hall lined with black and white photos of Disney World being built, including many featuring Walt Disney, himself.
Steakhouse 71 is good anytime of the year, but if you want a solid meal for Christmas, you won’t walk away disappointed. While a special Christmas menu hasn’t been announced this year, in 2024, the regular dinner menu was served on Christmas Day from 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. The regular lunch menu was not available.

This also makes for a good spot if you’re at Magic Kingdom on December 25. It’s only about a 10-minute walk from the park!
After your meal, you can even go upstairs and look at Contemporary’s gingerbread house and try some festive treats and drinks.
Reservations are usually pretty easy to snag here, but if you can’t get into Steakhouse 71, there is also the Steakhouse 71 Lounge (walk-up only).
Liberty Tree Tavern

In Liberty Square, you’ll find Liberty Tree Tavern, one of the best Table Service restaurants at Magic Kingdom.
What makes this a great choice for Christmas is it serves an all-you-can-eat Thanksgiving-style meal year-round. What’s better than that?

The family-style meal includes:
- Declaration Salad: Mixed Greens, Apples, Cranberries, and Cheese tossed with our House-made Dressing
- The Patriot’s Platter: Roasted Turkey, Pot Roast, and Smoked Pork Loin with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Herbed Stuffing, and House-made Macaroni & Cheese
- Oooey Gooey Toffee Cake: Vanilla Toffee Cake, Chocolate Sauce, and Vanilla Ice Cream

There’s also a plant-based option:
- Tavern Salad: Tossed Mixed Greens with House-made dressing
- Impossible Meatloaf: Plant-based Meatloaf with Mashed Potatoes, Mushroom Gravy, and Seasonal Vegetables
- Johnny Appleseed’s Warm Apple Cake with Caramel and Whipped Topping
You can order alcohol for an additional price, which includes cocktails, beer, cider, and wine.
I don’t know about you, but I love Thanksgiving food — even on Christmas. It’s homey, filling, and delicious.
Fun fact: The Diamond Horseshoe located next to Liberty Tree Tavern serves the same exact menu. So, if you can’t get into Liberty Tree Tavern, you can always try The Diamond Horseshoe.
Biergarten Restaurant

Zicke zacke, zicke zacke, hoi hoi hoi!
You better start practicing that phrase, because it’s one you’re going to chant during your meal at Biergarten — while raising your beer stein, of course.
Biergarten celebrates Oktoberfest all year long with authentic German cuisine and live entertainment — a Polka band!

This is some of the best buffet food you’ll try at Disney World. There are so many options, including lots of items for vegetarians and vegans.
Biergarten has such a fun atmosphere, which is great for Christmas. Plus, the Bavarian village dining room is decorated for the holidays and it is absolutely beautiful.

I’ve dined here multiple times and absolutely love it. For the price, you definitely get your bang for your buck.
Hollywood & Vine

It’s no secret I adore Hollywood & Vine. The character dining meal serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
You’re going to want to have breakfast, lunch, or dinner here for Christmas, because that’s when you can experience Minnie’s Holiday Dine.

I haven’t visited Hollywood & Vine during the holidays (yet!), but, courtesy of Minnie at Halloween, you can see here just how cute the characters are in their seasonal costumes.
Hollywood & Vine has “Minnie’s Seasonal Dining” during breakfast, lunch, and dinner, which is where you can meet Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto. The best part is their costumes change depending on the time of year.
So, over Christmas, they will be in holiday attire (including Goofy as Santa Goofy)! Are you picturing all of the adorable photos you’ll get?

Better yet, Hollywood & Vine’s buffet is fantastic. This is my favorite character meal in all of Disney World. Trust me when I say you won’t be disappointed.
Plus, there’s no better park to celebrate Christmas than Hollywood Studios thanks to the music and decor.
The Hollywood Brown Derby

If you want to have a Christmas meal somewhere “fancier,” I recommend The Hollywood Brown Derby.
Not only is the restaurant decorated for the holidays, but you will have a great dining experience.

You can’t beat the food. Of course, there’s the Famous Cobb Salad with spit-roasted turkey, bacon, egg, tomatoes, blue cheese, avocado and classic dressing. For an additional price, you can substitute the turkey with chicken or shrimp.
I order the salad without meat, since I’m vegetarian, and it’s absolutely delicious.
Better yet, you have to get the Grapefruit Cake, which is a “Brown Derby Original.” It’s a vanilla sponge cake with grapefruit syrup and cream cheese icing. The cake might not scream Christmas, but it doesn’t matter, because it’s absolutely delicious.

Being at Hollywood Studios for Christmas is pure magic. And eating at Hollywood Brown Derby during this time of year will make your visit that much better.
Tip: If you can’t get into the restaurant, try The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge attached to the main dining room. It’s outside, you can listen to the holiday music, take in the decor, people watch, and order from the full menu.
Whispering Canyon Café

Whispering Canyon Café is a truly fun dining experience. This is an interactive, western-themed restaurant that serves all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets, alongside à la carte menus.
What does that mean? Well, your servers are going to joke around and sometimes might skip the pleasantries.
They are very good at their jobs, so just sit back, relax (well, try to, because I know this type of dining isn’t for everyone), and watch the shenanigans.

Whispering Canyon Café is great for Christmas, because there is usually a holiday feast served for lunch and dinner.
For Christmas Day 2025, the following will be offered:
Breakfast – 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
- Holiday Skillet: featuring house-made buttermilk-cheddar biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, hickory-smoked bacon, sausage and Mickey-shaped waffles
- Pepper Jack “Cheese” Frittata (Plant-Based)
- Brisket Omelet
- Avocado Toast

Lunch/Dinner – 12 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
-Adults (ages 10 and up): $47 per person, plus tax and gratuity
-Children (ages 3 to 9): $28 per person, plus tax and gratuity
- Meal begins with Parker House rolls and a house salad
- Holiday Skillet featuring roasted chicken, brown sugar maple-glazed ham, maple-chipotle pork ribs, apple-cornbread stuffing, sauteed green beans, corn-on-the-cob, and mashed potatoes
- Plant-Based Skillet featuring maple-chipotle barbecued jackfruit, spicy “sausage,” mustard-glazed beefless tips, herb-brushed Trick’n Chick’n, roasted potatoes, oven-roasted carrots, sautéed green beans and charred peppers
- Seasonal dessert sampler
Warning: asking for ketchup here isn’t as simple as it sounds. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar (aka Hangar Bar)

During the holiday season, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs transforms into “Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar”.

Not only does the bar and restaurant put up some of the best Christmas decorations, but you can also order “Holiday Light Bites” and “Holiday Libations” from the holiday menus (these are seasonal and only available for a limited time).
If you want a full meal, I don’t recommend Jock Lindsey’s. This is similar to a lounge, where you can grab small bites and drinks, including several non-alcoholic beverages.

This place is such a vibe and one of my favorite dining locations to visit, especially when I want a cocktail or a small bite to eat.
Have you celebrated Christmas at Disney World? Where is your favorite place to eat during the holiday season?
