Upon their royal engagement, Queen Anna and Kristoff welcome you to Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish.

This Frozen dining experience is perfect for fans of the movie who first introduced us to beloved sisters Anna and Elsa.

The restaurant is part of three themed dining experiences on the Disney Wish that are part of rotational dining (read more about that here).

Here is my Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure review from my Disney Wish cruise in February 2024.

Important: If you want to experience the Frozen-inspired dinner without any spoilers, go no further.

What is Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure?

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is a themed dinner located on Deck 5 of the Disney Wish.

The dinner revolves around the engagement of Anna and Kristoff, which happened in the second film, Frozen II. You’ll also get to see other characters from the films, including Elsa, Olaf, and Oaken.

What makes this dinner unique is there’s a stage in the center of the dining room. All of the tables sit around the stage, where live entertainment occurs throughout the meal. Entertainment includes music and songs from “local” musicians and the characters.

How much does Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure cost?

Your dinner at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is included in the price of your cruise. You don’t have to pay anything extra, unless you want alcohol during your meal, which is an additional cost. You can also purchase wine packages that range in price.

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure Review

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure serves a Norwegian-inspired menu, which also happens to be catered by Oaken’s “Hearty Party Planning Service… and Sauna.”

Let’s take a look at the adult menu (there is also a children’s menu), which includes appetizers, salads, soups, bread service, entrees, and dessert. There were also a lot of vegetarian options, which I was happy to see during my meal.

You can order as little or as much as you want. Your servers are there to work with you and accommodate your taste.

First, let’s start with the bread service.

Out of all of the bread service offered, this six-grain viking loaf with roasted onion dip was my favorite. The roasted onion dip was fantastic. I had multiple helpings, because I couldn’t stop myself from slathering it on the bread.

As for the rest of my meal, I started with the Blushing Oaken’s Chilled White & Green Asparagus, which was gluten-free, dairy-free, and plant-based.

It came with pea tendrils, heirloom tomatoes, radish, and dill. This was served cold, which may not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it. The sauce also had strong hints of horseradish, so if that’s not your thing, you should definitely skip.

I decided to pass on a salad and soup, especially since the soup options were chicken based. Instead, I ordered both vegetarian entrees.

First, there is Queen Iduna’s Potato Lefse, which featured marjoram butter crust, heirloom carrots, spinach, celeriac, green and white asparagus, baby Brussels sprouts, leeks, and aquavit Jarlsberg cream.

This was excellent. The portion was massive, filling, and flavorful. I would definitely get this again.

The Kåldomar contained plant-based “beef”, savoy cabbage, brown rice, carrots, celery, and a dill yogurt drizzle. In addition to being plant-based, this was also gluten-free and dairy-free.

I also loved this. It’s like cabbage rolls (or as my family calls them, “Halupki” and/or “Golumpki”), but lighter, fresher, and meat-free, of course.

For dessert, I got the signature dessert, the “Troll Family’s Rock Chocolate Bar.” This came with chocolate cake, pistachio cookie rocks, and hibiscus meringue.

You need to be a chocolate fan to enjoy this. It was very rich. This wasn’t my favorite dessert I had on the ship, but it was good.

The meal itself was probably my favorite out of the three main dining experiences on the Wish.

As for the entertainment, it was excellent. The singing from characters and “local” musicians were both fun and emotional. At the end of the dinner, the wait staff even got in on the fun by waving napkins (and encouraging guests to do the same), dancing, and singing. This was the last dinner of my cruise and it was a great close to the dining chapter.

However, depending where you are seated in the restaurant, you may have a terrible view of the stage, which is in the center of the dining space.

There was a pillar partially blocking my table. It wasn’t terrible, but know that this could happen. Little ones may easily lose focus or be upset they can’t see the characters up close and personal. This is one of the downsides of this dinner.

Keep in mind that the characters also don’t stop for photos and autographs. They quickly walk by to wave and say hello. This isn’t a traditional character dining experience, like at Walt Disney World.

As for the details of the restaurant, they are on point. I mean, this is the entry hallway that leads you to the dining room.

Overall, I loved Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. Between my servers (who were great each night), to the food, to the entertainment (despite my view partially being blocked), to the unbelievable theming, this dinner was fun and one of the bests during my cruise.

Is Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure worth it?

While you can skip any of your rotational dining, you need to give Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure a try at least once, especially if you’ve never eaten here. After all, it is included in the price of your cruise.

This is definitely tailored to Frozen fans, but the atmosphere is fun and cute. Plus, you get to see Oaken in person and that’s pretty really cool. Even if you don’t know the story, there’s enough to keep you entertained.

This dinner really outshined when it came to the interactive experience, the characters, the theme, and the food. As a Disney and Frozen fan, this hit all of the marks.
