Oga’s Cantina is one of the most popular bars in all of Walt Disney World, especially for Star Wars fans.
If you’re unfamiliar, the local cantina is owned by Oga Garra and is the perfect spot for bounty hunters, smugglers, rogue traders, and weary travelers of all ages to rest and have a good time — no questions asked.
While it’s no secret the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge bar is a hot spot for themed drinks, there are some important things you need to know prior to visiting the cantina.
Here are 16 Oga’s Cantina tips for the Hollywood Studios location in Disney World.

Oga’s Cantina Tips
You should make a reservation
Since Oga’s Cantina has been open for awhile now, reservations aren’t as difficult to come by as they were when doors first opened.
However, I still highly recommend making reservations for Oga’s Cantina. The bar is massively popular and the walk-up list fills quickly.

You can make reservations either in the My Disney Experience app or online. Reservations open 60 days prior to your arrival day.
Typically, you can begin booking dining at 6 a.m. ET (sometimes earlier starting at 5:45 a.m.) and I suggest making sure you’re ready to do so. Disney World dining reservations can go fast!
If for some reason you can’t snag an Oga’s Cantina reservation, you can always use a Disney dining reservation alert service, like MouseDining, or join the walk-up list (more on that next).
There is a walk-up list
If you don’t get an Oga’s Cantina reservation, there is the option of joining a walk-up list. You can do this in person or in the My Disney Experience app.
This means, yes, you can get into Oga’s Cantina without a reservation, but, of course, the walk-up list isn’t always guaranteed to be available.

The walk-up list can fill up fast and, if so, you’ll see the above message appear in the app, “Walk-up list is currently unavailable to join due to high demand.”
Sometimes, you’ll see the walk-up list has a wait (as seen below), but the estimated wait depends on your party size.

If you want to join the walk-up list, I recommend joining as soon as possible or keeping tabs on the estimated wait time to make sure it doesn’t reach capacity.
You can make a reservation after park hours
Did you know you can visit Oga’s Cantina after Hollywood Studios has closed? That’s right. There are late reservation times after park hours!

This makes for a great way to end the night, especially because when you exit the park it will be empty.
Just look at all of the late reservation times!

Your experience won’t be rushed, either. This somewhat remains a hidden secret (so don’t tell anyone).
The menu is the same no matter the time of day
Oga’s Cantina is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even though there are designated hours for each, the menu is the same no matter the time of day.

Whether you have an early morning, afternoon, or evening reservation, you don’t have to worry about the menu changing.
Only snacks are served
If you’re wondering whether or not you can get a meal at Oga’s Cantina, the answer is no.
The food menu is limited. First, the Batuu Bits cost $13.00 and come with “crispy galaxy snack bits with spiced dip”. Essentially, this is a mixture of veggie chips with some dip. It’s also vegan and gluten-free, as is.

Then, there is the Happabore Sampler for $24.00. You get “cured and roasted meats, cheese, and pork cracklings”.
Previously, this came with string cheese (for real), but that has since changed. Now, you’ll find uncooked chorizo, pastrami with mustard seeds, goat cheese dyed blue, bagel chips, pork rinds, and more.
One of the best snack son the menu is the Umbaran Cheese Roll for $13.00, a spice-dusted pretzel bun stuffed with herbed cheese and a honey mustard dipping sauce. This is excellent and I highly recommend!

Finally, the last snack on the menu is the Thruster Roasted Bantha Flatbread for $19.00. This is a naan flatbread topped with spiced chorizo beef and a four-cheese blend.
Oga’s Cantina isn’t a full bar
Oga’s Cantina has a set menu of drinks, meaning these are the only ones you can order.
You should also know that the cocktails aren’t made fresh — they all come out of a tap. While this isn’t normally how I prefer a cocktail, Oga’s Cantina needs to constantly move guests through and having all of the drinks on tap definitely makes that easier.

Despite not having a full bar, what makes Oga’s Cantina so special is that the drinks are exclusive. While you can find most of the same cocktails at Oga’s in Disneyland, usually the beers vary at the Disney World location.
You can also find a range of specialty non-alcoholic options, so if you don’t drink, aren’t old enough to consume alcohol, or want to save some money while still enjoying Oga’s, there’s quite the variety!
Oga’s Cantina is kid-friendly
Despite this being a bar, Oga’s Cantina is kid-friendly.
First, there are plenty of non-alcoholic drinks to order. Second, the bar has a great atmosphere and a fun vibe that kids shouldn’t get bored, especially thanks to DJ R-3X spinning tunes.

And if you’re in luck, you might even see a Stormtrooper walk in! This doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s pretty darn cool.
Keep in mind that it can be loud at times, especially when it’s crowded and due to the music.
You will have a time limit
If you’re wondering how long can you stay in Oga’s Cantina, well, there is a time limit.
Each party has 45 minutes to enjoy their time inside the cantina. There are a lot of people they need to move in and out, so that’s why the time limit is implemented.

Personally, I’ve never felt rushed or hurried out the door. I also don’t feel like you need more than 45 minutes.
It also helps that the Cast Members are prompt and quick. They definitely try to make the most of your time.
There is a drink limit
Per the official Walt Disney World website, “There is a maximum of 2 drinks per guest.”

Seeing as there is a 45-minute time limit, you most likely won’t be able to enjoy more than 2 drinks in that timeframe.
In my experience, I’ve been able to enjoy 2 drinks in 45 minutes and also take a third drink to go.
You will either have to stand or share a table
Oga’s Cantina isn’t like your standard bar — you will either have to stand or share any of the available tables.

The bar is mainly standing-room only. There are also booths, but you will most likely have to share these with other parties.
Oga’s Cantina is wheelchair accessible. If you need any assistance or want to ensure the necessary accommodations are met, you can talk with the Cast Members at the door when checking in or putting your name on the list. If you choose to check in for your reservation in the app, there is a place to note if someone in your party is using a wheelchair.
You can take drinks to go
If you want to take a drink with you when you’re done at Oga’s, you can! Simply tell your server that you’d like a to-go drink.

Since Hollywood Studios isn’t a dry park, you can freely walk around Galaxy’s Edge and other areas with an alcoholic beverage from Oga’s in hand.
You can get a drink without a reservation
If you want a drink from Oga’s, but don’t care about experiencing the cantina, you can actually go inside and order a to-go drink.
You’ll need to ask a Cast Member outside if you can go in and get a to-go beverage. There’s a designated spot at the bar right when you enter for to-go orders.

When it’s your turn, you’ll be escorted into Oga’s. I’m guessing they don’t want the to-go area crowded or a line forming inside, which is why they only allow one person/group for to-go orders at a time. I assume if it’s a larger group they will only let so many people in at a time.
Once you order and have drinks, you’ll exit. You cannot hang inside the cantina. If you want to spend time inside Oga’s, you’ll need to make a reservation or join the walk-up list.
Other Galaxy’s Edge locations serve Oga’s beer
Two of the beers currently on the Oga’s Cantina drink menu are served at other locations in the land.
First, the Gold Squadron Lager from Blue Point Brewing Co. can also be ordered at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and an outdoor beverage cart near First Order Cargo.

Second, the Bad Motivator IPA from Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. can be found at Ronto Roasters, but keep in mind this dining location usually closes in late afternoon.
You can cancel without a fee (but there’s a catch)
If for some reason you need to cancel or modify your reservation, you must do so within 2 hours of the reservation time.

You will be charged a fee of $10 per person if you don’t cancel at least 2 hours prior to your reservation time or if you’re a no-show.
Oga’s Cantina at Disneyland has different drinks
Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland is mostly the same except for some of the drinks and snacks.
So, even if you’ve been to Oga’s Cantina at Disney World, I still recommend visiting the Disneyland location.

The cocktails are typically the same, but you’ll usually find different beers (and better ones, in my opinions). The White Wampa Ale, a Hefeweizen from Ballast Point Co., is one of my favorites. Oga’s in Hollywood Studios used to serve it, but, sadly, not anymore.
Keep in mind that you cannot make reservations at Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland. It’s strictly a walk-up only bar with a traditional standby queue.
Everyone should try Oga’s Cantina
Even though Oga’s Cantina isn’t my favorite (I think most of the drinks are too sweet and run on the pricier side), everyone, including non-Star Wars fans, should try Oga’s Cantina at least once.
The atmosphere offers a good vibe, the theming is top-notch, and it’s fun to go with family and friends.

If I had to recommend any drinks, I suggest the Fuzzy Tauntaun for $20.00.
This comes with Ketel One Botanical Peach & Orange Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps Liqueur, orange juice with tangerine, pure cane sugar, and “Buzz Button Tingling” foam. The Fuzzy Tauntaun is pretty tasty and even numbs your lips (for real).
All that said, Oga’s Cantina is pretty cool and definitely feels as if you’re enjoying a drink at a bar in the Star Wars universe.
Have you been to Oga’s Cantina? What’s your favorite drink?
