If you’re looking to indulge in alcoholic beverages on Disney Cruise Line, but also want to get more alcohol for less, you may want to invest in the Beer Mug Savings Package.
The cost of alcohol adds up, especially on vacation. It becomes even more of an expense on a Disney cruise, because they don’t offer traditional alcohol packages like other cruise lines. That said, alcohol is much cheaper on Disney cruises compared to the theme parks.

You can try the “Drink of the Day” specials, you can bring on your own alcohol (read rules here), and you can also purchase a wine package in the main dining rooms. But, if you’re a beer drinker, like myself, you should look into the Beer Mug Savings Package.
I tried it for the first time during my February 2026 cruise on the Disney Fantasy. Below, I go over exactly what the Beer Mug Savings Package includes, costs, and more.

What is the Beer Mug Savings Package?
With the Beer Mug Savings Package, you receive a 21-ounce beer mug. Then, you can fill the mug with draft beer or cider for the price of a 16-ounce pour.

You receive five extra ounces for free, plus you get to take the mug home with you!
This is a heavy glass mug. But, don’t worry, you don’t have to carry it with you for the duration of your cruise.
At a bar or lounge that accepts the mug, you can exchange it for a token. Then, when you’re ready for your next beer, give your token to the bartender and you’ll receive another mug filled with the beer of your choice.

On the last night of your cruise, you can get a brand-new mug to take home with you.
The Beer Mug Savings Package cannot be used on Lookout Cay or Castaway Cay, but can be used at the pool bars.
How much does the Beer Mug Savings Package cost?
The Beer Mug Savings Package costs $19.00 (minus tax and gratuity). You can only order a maximum of two mugs per stateroom. The beer mugs are also available for purchase at select bars and lounges on the ship.
It’s important to note that the first pour is not included in the price of the mug.

While it says you must be present to receive your mug (to show proof that you’re 21 or older), that was not the case during my February 2026 sailing. Our beer mugs were waiting in our stateroom. This might not always be the case.
What kind of beer can you purchase with the Beer Mug Savings Package?
Although brands of beer can vary depending on port of call, selections may include (prices vary depending on the beer):
- Heineken
- Bud Light
- Stella Artois
- Guinness
- Angry Orchard
- Michelob Ultra
- Samuel Adams
- Blue Moon
How to purchase the mug before you get on board
If you want to buy the Beer Mug Savings Package prior to getting on the ship, here’s how to do just that.
- Go to the official Disney Cruise Line website, find “Already Booked,” and go down to “Onboard Gifts.”

- Locate your Disney Cruise Line reservation.

- You can do so by either entering your reservation number or by guest information.

- Then, shop by category and go to “Beer & Wine.”

- Click on “Beer Mug Savings Package.”

- “Add to bag” and then follow the on-screen purchase prompts.

You can also buy the Beer Mug Savings Package on the ship at select locations.
Is the Beer Mug Savings Package worth it?
As a beer drinker, yes, the Beer Mug Savings Package is absolutely worth it. You can’t beat the fact that you get 21 ounces for the price of a 16-ounce pour.

Not only do you receive five extra ounces for free, you also get to take the mug with you. It makes a great souvenir that you can use anytime at home.
Keep in mind that this is a lot of beer. If you’re not a beer drinker, this is not for you. Of course, you don’t have to drink all of the beer, either, but why would you want to waste it?
Important: According to Disney Cruise Line, the beer mug you buy is specific to the sailing on which it was purchased. I’ve heard about guests bringing back their mugs on future cruises, but, technically, you’re not supposed to. It’s also heavy to pack.
