Dining at Walt Disney World can be overwhelming. There are a lot of restaurants to sort through, especially if you’re a first timer.
Well, no need to feel overwhelmed, because I’m here to help you figure out the best place to eat if you’re vegetarian, like myself.
Animal Kingdom is one of the most stunning parks at Disney World. Plus, the dining options are fantastic. Animal Kingdom definitely gives EPCOT a run for its money when it comes to restaurants, especially vegetarian dishes that are available for lunch and dinner at several Quick Service spots.
To be clear, the following only includes locations serving actual meals. Let’s chat the best vegetarian Quick Service restaurants at Animal Kingdom.

Best Vegetarian Options at Animal Kingdom
Flame Tree Barbecue

Located in Discovery Island, Flame Tree Barbecue is the perfect location for barbecue lovers.
Don’t worry, vegans and vegetarians can enjoy it here, too, thanks to the plant-based Korean Impossible Sandwich for $12.49.

This is as good as it looks. While you only get half a sandwich, it’s still quite filling, especially with all of the fries.
The sandwich comes with Impossible beef, pickled vegetables, Gochujang mayonnaise, and cilantro served on a sourdough baguette.
I’m not a cilantro person, so I did pick most of it off, but, other than that, the pickled vegetables, the sauce, the baguette, and the “meat” are all perfection.

Be sure to submit a Mobile Order and find a table at the massive seating area that overlooks the water and Expedition Everest.
Warning: be on high alert when dining at Flame Tree. It’s a beautiful seating area, but the birds are ruthless. They will hop on the table and try to steal your food.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery

Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery serves a range of hidden gems, including this plant-based Picadillo Bowl.
For $12.99, you get a huge serving featuring Impossible beef on jollof rice with kuchumbari tomato salad and plant-based aïoli.
This dish is both unique and delicious. It’s full of flavor and makes for a fresher and lighter option, especially if you want something other than a burger or a hot dog.
You can find Kusafiri in Africa across from the Mombasa Marketplace gift shop.
Satu’li Canteen

In what is arguably the best Quick Service location at Walt Disney World — and in Animal Kingdom — Satu’li Canteen in Pandora is absolutely a must.
Specifically, you need to order the plant-based Chili-Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu Bowl that comes with crispy fried tofu seasoned with chili-spice and topped with crunchy vegetable slaw and boba balls. You get a lot for $13.49.

I love it here because you get to customize your bowl by choosing a base and a sauce, including:
- Base: Red and Sweet Potato Hash, Rice and Beans, Hearty Salad, Noodles (not plant-based), or you can choose no base
- Sauce: Charred Green Onion Vinaigrette, Black Bean Vinaigrette (not plant-based), Creamy Herb Sauce (not plant-based), or you can choose no sauce
Saut’li Canteen can get extremely busy, so I suggest utilizing Mobile Order to save yourself time and stress.
