Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge at Walt Disney World has some truly fantastic dining, like Sanaa. But, what about Boma – Flavors of Africa?
This is one Table Service restaurant that many Disney fans rave about constantly — and for good reason.

This is truly one of the best breakfast spots at Disney World. Keep reading for my full Boma breakfast review.

What is Boma – Flavors of Africa?
Boma – Flavors of Africa is located at Animal Kingdom Lodge and offers a buffet for both breakfast and dinner.

You can also enjoy flavors from over 50 African countries, along with familiar American classics. During dinner, guests can watch chefs prepare food in the onstage kitchen.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to be staying at the hotel to eat at Boma, but Disney World hotels can be strict at times about letting in non-resort guests, unless they have dining reservations.
If you drive yourself or use rideshare and don’t have a reservation, there is a chance the security guard at the entrance won’t let you get dropped off or park. If you use Disney World transportation (take a bus), there won’t be any issue.

As always, be sure to book a dining reservation here prior to your visit!
How much does breakfast cost at Boma?
Excluding tax and gratuity, breakfast at Boma costs $39 per adult and $23 per child (ages 3 to 9). You will be charged an additional cost if you order alcohol or a specialty beverage.

A full breakfast buffet is provided, including pancakes, coconut steel-cut oatmeal, fruit salad, omelets, pastries, turkey bobotie (a type of South African quiche), seasonal bread pudding, and much more. An allergen guide is available upon arrival to the restaurant.

If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it is accepted here (1 Table Service credits per person for breakfast and dinner). Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members also receive 10% off the regular price of food and non-alcoholic beverages (excluding tax and gratuity).
Because this is a buffet, there isn’t a full food menu to share. However, I can show you the drink menu.

Boma Breakfast Review
Before I dive into the food, I want to recognize the Cast Members at Boma. They’re always amazing.
I’ve had nothing but fantastic servers at Boma, along with super-friendly host and hostesses. This remained so during my most recent breakfast with my family in February.

Now, for my food. There are so many wonderful options, especially for vegetarians. I recommend the scrambled eggs with spinach, tomatoes, and goat cheese. I had two servings. They were a tad on the wet side, but I still loved them.
Boma also has Simba waffles. They taste exactly the same, but there are very few places you can get a Simba waffle on Disney World property.

I also cannot rave enough about the tots. They have some type of African-inspired seasoning on them and are pure heaven! Yes, I had two helpings of these.
Be sure to also try the plant-based coconut steel-cut oatmeal. If you’re a fan of oatmeal and coconut, then you have to try this! It’s excellent. You don’t even need any sweeteners, like brown sugar, either. It’s good all on its own.

And, of course, the famous sticky buns. I wish I could take an entire pan home.
I absolutely love sticky buns and these never disappoint. It’s hard to stop at just one, which is why I always have at least two — or three.

I also really enjoy this vegetarian-friendly ancient grain berry salad that comes with raisins, quinoa, feta cheese, and spinach.
This makes for a healthier option, especially if you’re eating all of the waffles, tots, and sticky buns.

I’d be remiss if I didn’t talk about the Jungle Juice (passion fruit, orange, and guava juice — aka POG juice) is included in the price, meaning you can drink as much of it as you like! You can also have coffee for no additional cost.

Finally, the Bo’mosa Flight. It comes with four full-sized glasses with four different types of mimosas made from a collection of three African sparkling wines.
The flight includes:
- Minute Maid Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice (the most traditional mimosa)
- Mint-Raspberry (need to be a mint fan)
- Spicy Habanero-Pineapple (not too spicy, but still has a subtle kick)
- Strawberry-Honey (the honey and strawberry complement each other nicely)

I’ve had this twice and have enjoyed each time! They’re certainly unique in their own ways. Oh, and it only costs $24! Talk about a steal. Plus, it’s great for sharing.

I want to note that the first time I ate here in February 2025, there was brief entertainment during breakfast. The Cast Members from Africa showcased a part of their culture and played drums as they walked around the restaurant. Unfortunately, this did not occur at my breakfast in February 2026.
Is breakfast worth it at Boma?
Yes, breakfast at Boma is absolutely worth it. It’s one of my go-to restaurants. Boma is always consistent, which is proof of a worthy dining location.
Not only is the service always fantastic, but you cannot beat the price. The cost of $39 per adult and $23 per child (minus tax and gratuity) is reasonable for everything you get.

You can eat as much as you’d like from the buffet — and you even get unlimited Jungle Juice and coffee.
I appreciate that the buffet features lots of vegetarian options, along with classic and unique offerings. There is a range of breakfast items, meaning there is something for everyone, including kids and pickier eaters.
The fact that you can also enjoy a mimosa flight for only $24 is a fantastic deal — and each flavor is delicious.

Plus, Boma resides at a truly stunning resort. Animal Kingdom Lodge can be somewhat out of the way and more difficult to get to compared to other resorts, but the hotel and Boma are worth the trip.
I mean, just look at the exterior view! Even if the animals aren’t out on the savanna, it’s still wonderful to take in the scenery.
Tip: don’t forget to look for the hidden Mickey on the “vines” near the fire pit that sits right outside the doors off the main lobby.

It definitely takes some time to find, but when you’re looking at the set of vines, the hidden Mickey is on the left side.
Not every breakfast is created equally at Disney World, but there is something very special about Boma.
Have you had breakfast at Boma? What did you think?
