Did you know there isn’t just an Indiana Jones show at Walt Disney World, but also a themed lounge?

That’s right, you can find Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar at Disney Springs. This is one of the most fun and perfectly designed bars at Disney World. Plus, the light bites and cocktails are top notch.

Here’s my review from when I last ate at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar on October 27, 2024.

What is Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar?

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar can be found in The Landing area of Disney Springs. It’s near Gideon’s Bakehouse and Wine Bar George. You can’t miss it, thanks to its exterior that resembles, well, an airplane hangar.

Located along the water, the bar embodies a vintage aviation ambience inspired by Indiana Jones’ pilot, Jock Lindsey (played by Fred Sorenson) from Raiders of the Lost Ark. So, yes, there are lots of Indiana Jones Easter eggs.

Per Disney, here’s how Jock (and his snake Reggie) ended up in Disney Springs:

“The two globetrotters stumbled on Disney Springs in 1938 while chasing down a mythology-based tip in central Florida. Attracted to the town’s natural springs and lush terrain, Jock bought some waterfront property and eventually settled down, piloting seaplane tours across the fast-growing Sunshine State.

Jock eventually built an airplane hangar, air tower and runway, and invited fellow members of The Society of Explorers and Adventurers to pay him a visit. His home base soon became a popular stopover and watering hole for world travelers and locals alike.”

Now, Disney Springs guests can enjoy Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar!

When not busy, you can simply walk inside and grab a table or sit at the bar. But, when Hangar Bar does get busy, you might be able to add your name to a waitlist at the host stand that’s usually right outside the front entrance.

Sometimes, you may even have to wait in line for a table, including bar seating. The wait time will depend on several factors, but they try to move as quickly as possible and fill all available space in a timely manner.

There isn’t a walk-up list in the My Disney Experience app to join, nor can you make reservations. There are servers who will wait on you and take your order.

How much is Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar?

  • It’s important to note that prices and menus frequently change at Walt Disney World. The following is based on my most recent visit.

The cost to dine at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar depends on what and how much you order. There are only light bites offered that range from $12.50 to $22.50. You can also try non-alcoholic and alcoholic signature libations, along with beer and wine that all vary in price.

If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it is accepted here (1 Table Service credits per person). Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members do not receive a discount.

Here you can check out the menu for Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. There are also allergy-friendly options, but guests will need to speak with a Cast Member about their allergy-friendly request(s).

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Review

During this particular trip to Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar, I tried two dishes off the food menu.

  • Thanks to Theme Park Vegetarian, I learned the Palawan Volcano Temple Dip is made with a beef base. I did not know this prior to consuming the dip. If you’re vegetarian, be sure to confirm the ingredients before ordering.

First, the Palawan Volcano Temple Dip, which debuted on September 1, 2024.

For $12.50, this comes with gruyère cheese sauce, onion jam, and toasted French bread. This is basically like a French onion soup dip. It’s ooey and gooey.

While it does have a beef base, which I was unaware of in the middle of eating, I did enjoy it. Keep in mind it’s a tad on the salty side. Of course, I won’t be ordering again, due to the beef base.

If you’re lucky, your server will bring you extra toasted French bread for no additional cost (and without even asking) so you don’t waste the dip.

Next, the Mine Car Meatballs, not to be confused with Seven Dwarfs Mine Train in Magic Kingdom. Can we talk about this presentation? I mean, Hangar Bar went above and beyond for meatballs.

You can substitute the pork and beef meatballs with Impossible meatballs! This is a vegetarian/vegan’s dream. No matter if you get the Impossible or pork and beef meatballs, this dish costs $13.00.

The meatballs come with sweet and sour barbecue and chimicurri on “potato hay” aka potato sticks.

These are truly delicious. I loved the sweetness of the sauce, which complemented the meatballs well. Plus, the crunchiness of the potato hay added even more texture. I also recommend eating the potato sticks by themselves. So good!

When it comes to drinks, I didn’t order any this visit, but I do have some suggestions.

You can order an exclusive Disney Springs beer at Hangar Bar. The Sunshine Orange Pilsner debuted in July 2024 and can be found only in Disney Springs at Disney-owned restaurants, bars, and stands. It’s brewed by Playalinda Brewing Company.

This is a light golden orange pilsner with a slight haze and touch of citrus from all natural Florida oranges. This is similar to a Blue Moon and very refreshing. At Jock Lindsey’s, you can order a can for $11.25 or get it on draft for $12.25.

If you want a cocktail, Reggie’s Revenge (pictured left below) is a solid choice. This $16.50 cocktail comes with Florida Cane ‘Orlando Orange’ Vodka, Midori Melon Liqueur, white cranberry juice, and fresh lime juice. It is on the sweeter side.

Or, the Cool-Headed Monkey (on the right above) is a delicious rum cocktail for $16.50. It’s made with STARR African Rum, Cointreau Liqueur, lime juice, tangerine, watermelon, and pineapple juice. This reminds me of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto (IYKYK).

Is Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar worth it?

I definitely think Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is worth it, whether or not you’re an Indiana Jones fan.

From the theme, to the atmosphere, to the delicious small bites (even for vegans and vegetarians), to the lovely beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), the lounge has a lot to offer.

What also makes Hangar Bar enticing is it turns into “Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar,” during the holiday season. The bar screams the holidays thanks to the over-the-top, but oh-so-perfect, decor. You can even order festive food and drinks.

You’ll also want to be sure to stop during Halloween, because you can usually find seasonal spook-tacular bites and beverages, as well!

Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar truly makes for a great spot if you want something lighter during the day, are in search of a late-night bite, or want a fun hangout.
