If you’re in need of the perfect Table Service restaurant for a special occasion, go no further.
The Hollywood Brown Derby at Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World is the place. This is signature dining, meaning it runs on the more expensive side. But, you usually can’t top the food, drinks, and atmosphere.

Here’s my review from when I last ate at Hollywood Brown Derby on June 17, 2026.

What is The Hollywood Brown Derby?
The Hollywood Brown Derby is located in the Hollywood Boulevard area of Hollywood Studios.
It is considered fine/signature dining, meaning you are going to pay much more to dine here compared to casual dining.

The Hollywood Brown Derby is modeled after the original Brown Derby, featuring classic dishes and cocktails, like the famous Cobb Salad (created by Bob Cobb, the owner for the historic California Brown Derby) and the Grapefruit Cake, a Brown Derby original.
If you love the Golden Age of Hollywood vibes, you’ll probably love this restaurant. You can only order lunch and dinner. This is a popular location, so I highly recommend booking reservations.
How much does The Hollywood Brown Derby cost?
The cost to dine at The Hollywood Brown Derby depends on what you order. Appetizers range from $13.00 to $21.00, while entrees vary between $30.00 and $56.00. Entrees for kids run from $9.25 to $17.50. There are also enhancements, desserts, and beverages you’ll have to factor into the cost.
If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it is accepted here (2 Table Service credits per person for lunch and dinner). Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members also receive 10% off the regular price of food and non-alcoholic beverages (excluding tax and gratuity).

The Hollywood Brown Derby Review
Every meal at Hollywood Brown Derby starts with the best complimentary rolls. They always come warm, with salted butter on the side.

It is an absolute must to slather the rolls with the butter. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed.

This time around, I ordered a newer enhancement that I hadn’t tried yet, the Glazed Carrots for $10.00. The carrots come with mint yogurt, pickled onion, and dukkah spice (blend of toasted nuts, seeds, and warm spices).
I didn’t love these. They were just ok, with the overall flavor missing the mark. I think I’d prefer the carrots on their own.

There’s no denying the presentation is spot on, and I also appreciate that it’s a unique side option. But, I wouldn’t order these carrots again.
For my entree, I tried the plant-based Stuffed Butternut Squash for $34.00. The dish features potato-chickpea-vegetable filling, roasted spring vegetable, and mushroom-lemongrass “cream” sauce.
On paper, this sounds amazing. It also looks beautiful. Once I ate it? It was bland.

They definitely need to add more flavor and seasoning. This wasn’t horrible or the worst thing I’ve ever eaten, but it was lacking in more ways than one. I had high hopes and was very dissatisfied with the end result.
Thankfully, dessert made turned around my lackluster dinner. The Grapefruit Cake for $14.00 is always the way to go. This has been one of my favorites for a long time.

Described as a “Brown Derby Original,” the vanilla sponge cake is topped with grapefruit syrup and cream cheese icing.
As a huge cream cheese and cake fan, this honestly is one of the best desserts. The grapefruit isn’t overpowering, but you can still taste it. The cream cheese icing is absolute perfection. This is an outstanding dessert that always pays off.
I also shared the Vanilla-Fruit Cheesecake for $14.00 with my family.

The deconstructed vanilla cheesecake is served with peach sponge, strawberry panna cotta, streusel, strawberry-peach compote, mango coulis, crunchy tuile.
The presentation? Stunning. The dessert, itself? You need to eat all of the components together to capture the true nature. I didn’t enjoy the cheesecake all by itself (which is rare, as a cheesecake lover), but once I scooped it up with everything else on the plate, it was delicious!
Is The Hollywood Brown Derby worth it?
I’ve eaten at Hollywood Brown Derby quite a bit and it’s always stellar. The food and the service are usually on another level.
While the service was, yet again, fantastic, the food was disappointing. It’s unusual for the food not to be amazing here. This was very much a rare occasion. For example, I also ate at the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge during this same visit, and I loved everything I ordered.
Tip: If you can’t get a table at the restaurant, the lounge is a great second choice, especially since you can order from the full menu.
Despite not loving my overall meal, I will still come back to Hollywood Brown Derby.

All that said, what really made my dinner was meeting John Stamos. That’s right, he was eating two tables down from us and was kind enough to get a photo with my mom!
This isn’t a place I go all the time, especially due to the price, but it makes for a great spot during the holidays or if you’re looking to celebrate a special occasion.
If you don’t mind paying more for a higher quality meal, great atmosphere, and fantastic service, the Hollywood Brown Derby is for you.
