As a Harry Potter fan, it’s hard to believe I only recently visited The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort.
Why did it take me this long? Mainly because I devote so much of my travel time to Walt Disney World. Thankfully, that changed in August 2024 when I decided to finally book a trip and visit both Diagon Alley in Universal Studios Florida and Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure.

Of course, I had to try some snacks and beverages, including the exclusive beers and vegan pasty.
Here’s what I ate and drank at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando during my very first visit to the magical lands on August 12 and 13, 2024.

What I Ate & Drank at Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Frozen Butterbeer

Did you even visit the Wizarding World if you didn’t get Butterbeer? I really wanted to try the hot version, but seeing as it felt like over 100 degrees during my visit, I went with the Frozen Butterbeer.
This is non-alcoholic and on the sweeter side. It wasn’t as sweet as I thought it would be, but I’m glad I still shared it with my sister. I don’t think I could drink an entire cup myself. That said, it had great flavor and was super refreshing on our very hot park day.
Earl Grey & Lavender + Strawberry Peanut Butter Ice Cream

Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour lived up to all of the hype! I’m already a big ice cream fan and this did not disappoint.
I tried two flavors stacked on top of each other: Earl Grey and Lavender + Strawberry Peanut Butter (Harry’s favorite). These were both fantastic!
The Earl Grey and Lavender didn’t have a strong tea or floral flavor and was actually refreshing. As for the Strawberry Peanut Butter, it was packed with so much strawberry and peanut butter goodness. I highly recommend both.
Vegan Pasty

While I was in Diagon Alley, I grabbed the Vegan Pasty. This might be small, but it’s flavorful, flaky, and absolute perfection.
This is a small hand pie (it’s a mini version of the Shepherd’s Pasty Pie at the Leaky Cauldron) stuffed with Beyond meatless beef crumbles, potato, and vegetable filling.

Know that these might not be prepared first thing in the morning. I tried to order one at The Hopping Pot a little after opening, but I was told to come back later. I was able to order the pasty about 10:30 a.m.
Daisyroot Ale

The Daisyroot Ale is an exclusive Wizarding World beer. This was my favorite brew that I had during my Universal Orlando trip. I had it multiple times, because it was that good.
I’m not typically a blonde/golden ale person, but the Daisyroot Ale was truly a pleasant surprise. This is perfect for anyone who wants a beer that tastes like a beer and is a bit on the lighter side.
Pumpkin Pasty

If you love pumpkin pie, the Pumpkin Pasty is for you. At the treat counter located inside Honeydukes, you can order yourself this mini, flaky pumpkin pasty.

I could probably eat one of these every day. I’m a sucker for most anything pumpkin and this lived up to my expectations.
Oh, and it comes in this adorable box!

A delicious treat served in super cute packaging? I’m sold.
Hog’s Head Brew

I, of course, had to visit the Hog’s Head for another exclusive Wizarding World beer — the Hog’s Head Brew.
This is for my fellow red ale fans. It’s described as a Scottish Ale and it is delicious! It’s a bit heavier than the Daisyroot Ale, but still great on a hot park day (really, any park day).
