You may have heard of the famous pizza window in EPCOT’s Italy pavilion. It’s a popular spot, because, well, pizza! Who doesn’t love dough, sauce, and cheese?
It’s my favorite food, so I have definitely visited this pizza window on multiple occasions. But, not everyone feels the same about this particular style of ‘za. Many love it, while others are not fans.
Let’s discuss EPCOT’s pizza window, including 5 things you need to know about Pizza al Taglio.
In this article
You can find it next to Via Napoli
Pizza al Taglio, EPCOT’s pizza window, is located directly next to Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria.

You can find each in the back of the Italy pavilion. Via Napoli is a Table Service restaurant, where you can enjoy an extremely good sit-down Italian-inspired meal (not just pizza, but you should absolutely order pizza). I also recommend booking dining reservations.
Pizza al Taglio is a walk-up window, meaning you simply get in line, order, and then your pizza is served from a counter.
It isn’t the same pizza as Via Napoli
EPCOT’s pizza window is different pizza than what is served at Via Napoli.
Pizza al Taglio serves thick, square-cut slices. The name of the stand literally means “pizza by the cut.” The slices are modeled after Sicilian pizza.
Via Napoli shared on Instagram on May 17, 2024 about Pizza al Taglio, “Expect a different taste, texture and shape than Via Napoli’s pies — made with the same Italian Caputo flour and signature San Marzano tomato-basil sauce.”
As for Via Napoli’s pizza, you can order many different kinds and sizes (individual, large, mezzo metro – aka 1/2 meter). You can also build your own pizza. While on the more expensive side (pizza prices range from $21 to $60), I think the price is worth it, especially if you order a large or 1/2 meter and share with a bigger group.
You can choose from two different types of pizza at Pizza al Taglio: pepperoni ($9.00) and cheese ($8.50). Again, this is a much thicker crust than Via Napoli and has a totally different taste.
There’s no denying Via Napoli’s pizza is the better choice compared to Pizza al Taglio (and many other Walt Disney World pizza locations). Some even compare Pizza al Taglio to cafeteria pizza, but, pickier eaters and little ones will most likely enjoy EPCOT’s pizza window. Plus, it’s a nice spot to quickly grab a slice.
You never know when it will be open
Pizza al Taglio has one major con — there aren’t set hours. You never know when it will be open.
When you turn that corner (whether you’re coming from America or Germany), you’ll either be happy or disappointed based on if the pizza window doors are open or shut.

And with no hours posted online or in the My Disney Experience app, it’s always a guessing game if you’ll be able to grab a slice of pizza here.
I always find it a sad day when it’s closed, because I think this makes a great, quick bite, especially if you’re super hungry or need something to soak up those adult beverages you’ve been enjoying around the world.
In my experience, Pizza al Taglio seems to be open during busier times, like weekends and holidays. But, again, I can’t guarantee the pizza window will be open during your trip.
You can’t mobile order
Mobile Order isn’t available at Pizza al Taglio. This means you will have to wait in line, which can get long thanks to the popularity of the pizza window.

In addition to pizza, you can also order Tiramisú, wine, beer, cocktails, and select non-alcoholic beverages. When picking up your pizza, you can also ask for a free cup of water.
There is only outdoor seating
You won’t find any indoor seating for Pizza al Taglio. All of the tables and chairs are strictly outdoors.
There also isn’t a ton of seating available. You’ll see a few tables with umbrellas scattered nearby, but they usually get filled quickly.

You might even be able to snag one towards the front of the pavilion, but, again, that’s not always possible.
More often than not, you’ll have to stand to enjoy your slice of pizza. If you can’t find a table, you can carry your pizza over to America (the pavilion right next to Italy), where there are plenty of outdoor tables.
What do you think of the pizza served at Pizza al Taglio?
