While I may be vegetarian, I eat a lot of plant-based options at Walt Disney World. There are so many fantastic choices, including snacks.
Let’s talk about Disney World snacks you probably didn’t know are vegan. I bet there are some you’ve tried and didn’t even realize are vegan-friendly!

Walt Disney World Vegan Snacks
Dole Whip

That’s right, most Dole Whip options are vegan! Dole Whip is a dairy-free fruit-flavored soft-serve frozen dessert produced by Dole Food Company.
To be clear, only the fruit-flavored Dole Whip is vegan. The vanilla and coconut flavors contain dairy.
It’s also important to note that sometimes Dole Whip comes with decorations that aren’t vegan, so it’s best to confirm with a Cast Member before ordering. You can find Dole Whip at various locations across Disney World.
Seasonal Cupcakes

With each season you can usually find vegan cupcakes at select Disney World Resort hotels.
Flavors and decorations vary. In my opinion, these aren’t the best, but everyone’s taste varies and it’s nice they have a vegan cupcake as a choice.
Typically, these are available inside food courts at the following hotels:
- World Premiere Food Court (All- Star Movies)
- Intermission Food Court (All- Star Music)
- End Zone Food Court (All- Star Sports)
- Everything POP Shopping & Dining (Pop Century)
- Landscape of Flavors (Art of Animation)
- Centertown Market (Caribbean Beach)
- Riverside Mill Food Court (Port Orleans Resort — Riverside)
- Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter)
Beignets

Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter has beignets that are vegan and gluten-friendly. There’s even a vegan chocolate sauce for dipping purposes.
You can order these at Scat Cat’s Club — Cafe. All you have to do is ask!
Unfortunately, the vegan and gluten-friendly beignets are not Mickey-shaped, like the other beignets on the menu (as shown above).
Ice Cream

Salt & Straw is one of my favorite places to get vegan ice cream at Disney World. Located in Disney Springs, Salt & Straw has some of the most unique and delicious flavors.
You can also find vegan ice cream at select locations across Disney World, like Plaza Ice Cream Parlor at Magic Kingdom and Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop in Disney Springs, to name a couple.

Tip: The peanut butter sauce (above) at Disney World for ice cream is vegan and one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. The Mickey chocolate ears are not vegan.
Mickey Pretzel

Yes, Mickey pretzels are vegan. Not everyone may love these, but I enjoy a Mickey pretzel every now and again.
You can order these at many locations across Disney World, so keep your eyes peeled. Sadly, the cheese cup is not vegan, so don’t order it on the side.
Bavarian Pretzel

Speaking of pretzels, there are a few other spots you can order vegan pretzels (without cheese), including:
- BaseLine Tap House (Grand Avenue in Hollywood Studios)
- Bier Kart (Germany pavilion in EPCOT)
- Pongu Pongu (Pandora in Animal Kingdom)
Out of all of these, I prefer the pretzel at BaseLine Tap House. It never fails and you also get a cup of mustard on the side (be sure to ask for extra).
Popcorn

There is something special about Disney World popcorn. I don’t know why, but it just tastes so much better here.
The regular “buttered” popcorn you can find at carts across Disney World is completely vegan. This also goes for the delicious Maple Popcorn at the cart in EPCOT’s Canada pavilion and the Outpost Popcorn Mix and Buttered Blue Grains at Kat Saka’s Kettle in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios.
Norwegian Kringla

Update: The plant-based Almond Kringla is no longer offered, but you can still order the Chocolate Kringla.
EPCOT’s Norway pavilion has a standout snack — the Norwegian Kringla.
Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe has one offering: the Norwegian Chocolate Kringla, which is vegan, as is.
I’ve only ever had the Almond Kringla, which, sadly, is no longer available. But, the Kringla is a unique vegan snack that everyone should try at least once.
Onion Rings

If you ever find yourself at Steakhouse 71 or Steakhouse 71 Lounge, you need to order the plant-based Onion Rings.
These are hand-breaded and served with spicy “ranch” dipping sauce. I wish more came with the order, but they are still fabulous.
Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites

Calling all macaroni and cheese fans. Say hello to these lovely vegan Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites at Geyser Point Bar & Grill.
They are fried beautifully, filled with “cheesy” goodness, and accompanied with tomato and peppers.
Fudge Brownie

A Fudge Brownie that’s both vegan and gluten-friendly? That’s right! You can find this at Beach Club Marketplace.
It’s as delicious as it looks. It was wonderfully chocolatey and satisfied my sweet craving after previously having two savory bites.
Have you tried any of these? Let me know your favorite vegan snack at Walt Disney World!
