Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has lots of dining options, including Grand Floridian Cafe.
Located on the first floor just off the lobby and next to 1900 Park Fare, the restaurant offers guests the chance to enjoy brunch and dinner.
I ate here for the first time on March 15, 2025, so come along and check out my Grand Floridian Cafe brunch review.

What is Grand Floridian Cafe?
Grand Floridian Cafe features “American classics reinvented” for brunch and dinner.
This is a more casual dining experience compared to other restaurants at Grand Floridian. You get moderately priced dishes with a more upscale presentation and flavor.

Brunch is served from 7:30 a.m. until 2 p.m., while dinner begins at 5 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m.
Keep in mind that you don’t have to be staying at the hotel to eat or drink at Grand Floridian Cafe. But, Disney World hotels can sometimes be strict about letting in non-resort guests, unless they have dining reservations. Deluxe hotels seem to be stricter about this compared to Moderate and Value resorts.

If you drive yourself or use rideshare and don’t have a reservation, there is a chance the security guard at the entrance won’t let you get dropped off or park. If you use Disney World transportation (a bus, boat, or the monorail) or walk from Magic Kingdom or the Polynesian, there won’t be any issue.

How much does brunch cost at Grand Floridian Cafe?
The cost to have brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe depends on what you order. Appetizers and salads range from $11.00 to $21.00. Breakfast and lunch entrees vary between $16.00 and $31.00. Desserts run from $9.00 to $10.00. Kids’ entrees range from $10.50 to $13.50. You’ll also need to factor beverages into the cost.
If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, it is accepted here for brunch and dinner (1 Table Service credit per person). Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members also receive 10% off the regular price of food and non-alcoholic beverages (excluding tax and gratuity).
There are also allergy-friendly options, but guests will need to speak with a Cast Member about their allergy-friendly request(s).

Grand Floridian Cafe Brunch Review
Brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe starts with a lovely — complimentary — plate of fresh biscuits served with regular butter and their famous citrus butter.
I love a good biscuit. These were warm and everything you’d expect from a biscuit. The regular butter was good, but the citrus butter surprised me — in a good way!

Orange and citrus aren’t going to my first pick when it comes to a pastry or a dessert, but I really enjoyed this butter. It has just a hint of citrus and wasn’t overpowering, while also adding enough zest to transform both the butter and biscuit.
Jelly was also an option for the biscuits, which they brought to the table without asking.

For my entree, I shared two dishes. First, the plant-based Avocado Toast for $13.00. This comes with multigrain toast topped with avocado, fire-roasted tomatoes, and micro greens.
This is supposed to be one of the best avocado toast options on property. So, was it? I don’t think it is, but that also doesn’t mean it’s not good.

I like that this is served with multigrain toast. Actually, the fire-roasted tomatoes were the star of the dish. I could eat an entire bowl of them. They were so good! Everything was tasty, but, again, it’s just avocado toast.
Let’s give it up for the presentation, as well. This is certainly one of the prettiest avocado toast entrees I’ve ordered.

I love that you can order a short stack of regular pancakes (includes two) here. Regular pancakes aren’t listed on the menu, but you can order them.
The short stack costs $7.50, but I added on a side of fresh strawberries for an additional $2.00. The berries were good, but I think $2.00 is too much for the tiny dish you get.
These pancakes are your standard pancakes. They were light and fluffy, but if I’m going to order pancakes, I’m going to Kona Cafe at the Polynesian.

You can get a full stack of pancakes (comes with three) for $16.00. I think the short stack is plenty, so I recommend getting the two pancakes and save yourself money in the process. But, the short stack also doesn’t come with a side of bacon or sausage (or cheesy hash browns — keep reading). So, it all depends how hungry you are.
If you need extra butter or syrup, they aren’t shy in bringing you all of the butter and syrup. At one point, they gave us a plate of four heaping sides of butter — one for each of us! We didn’t use it all, but it was the thought that counts. Sadly, I forgot to take a photo.
Finally, we need to talk about the best brunch item I had at Grand Floridian Cafe — the cheesy hash brown casserole.

My parents actually ordered this as the side to their pancakes in place of bacon and sausage. They were kind enough to share. These cheesy hash browns are heaven.
I’m still dreaming about this culinary masterpiece. If you, too, are a lover of potatoes and cheese, Grand Floridian Cafe is the place to go.
Is brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe worth it?
While not my favorite place I’ve ever had breakfast or brunch, Grand Floridian Cafe is worth it.
Everything I tried was good, but it also wasn’t the best brunch I’ve enjoyed at Disney World. I definitely prefer and would book other breakfast locations instead, like Boma — Flavors of Africa, Steakhouse 71, and Kona Cafe.
That’s not a knock on Grand Floridian Cafe by any means. It’s a good dining location with delicious food and stellar service. I would come back strictly for the cheesy hash browns and the biscuits with the citrus butter.

It’s also important to note that you get a lot of food for a really great price. I ate here with a party of four and it only cost $62.30 (minus gratuity and AP discount). That’s a pretty good deal, especially for a restaurant at one of the most expensive resorts on Disney World property.
For my fellow vegetarians, I recommend coming here at least once if you haven’t yet. There are other vegetarian offerings that I didn’t try, but, overall, I liked every thing I ordered.
I left full and happy. What more can you ask for when it comes to a meal at Disney World? If you’re looking for a breakfast that serves solid dishes at a beautiful location, this is a good choice.
