Best Vegetarian Options at Disney World (Quick Service locations)

plant-based totchos at woody's lunch box in hollywood studios

As a vegetarian, I’m always on the hunt for the best dishes at Walt Disney World.

Over the years, Disney has vastly improved their vegetarian (and vegan) options. There was a time where it was extremely difficult to find anything that fit my diet. Thankfully, that is no longer the case.

While there are plenty of items and restaurants on property that I still haven’t tried (and might even make this list in the future), there are many that I keep revisiting thanks to the vegetarian menu items featured.

Here are the best vegetarian Quick Service restaurants at Disney World.

In this article

Magic Kingdom

Casey’s Corner

Casey’s Corner is a popular spot on Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom and for good reason.

While I will forever miss the vegan Slaw Dog (IYKYK), the plant-based Chicago-style Dog is pretty darn delicious.

vegan chicago-style dog at casey's corner in magic kingdom

For $13.49, It comes with a vegan “sausage”, diced tomatoes, onions, yellow mustard, and Chicago green relish. You can also pick a side, like fries.

Granted, there is a lot of mustard and relish, but it didn’t bother me. I’m sure you if ordered in person versus Mobile Order, you could ask for them to go lightly on both condiments.

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café

If you head to Tomorrowland, you’ll find Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café. It can get very busy, so plan accordingly (eat at off peak times or place a Mobile Order).

At Cosmic Ray’s, you can find a vegan option, the Patty Melt for $13.49. This is vegan as is and pretty good for theme park food.

The sandwich comes with an Impossible burger topped with plant-based cheddar cheese, grilled onions, and asteroid sauce on toast. The bread may seem odd, but it works!

And the sauce? It reminds me of Big Mac sauce (from what I can remember when I used to eat meat way back in the day).

While I enjoyed this, I still prefer the old version that came with plant-based Swiss cheese, pickle slaw, and asteroid sauce also served on thick-cut toast.

That said, if you’re looking for a vegan/vegetarian Quick Service option in Magic Kingdom, this isn’t a bad choice by any means.

Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe

Over in Frontierland, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe offers a variety of Mexican-inspired dishes.

There is a delicious plant-based Rice Bowl for $12.99. It comes with Impossible Meatballs in red chile tomato sauce, pinto beans, cilantro-lime rice, cowboy caviar, and lime “crema”.

This dish is very good and I love everything about it. I wasn’t sure about the Impossible meatballs at first, but they pleasantly surprised me. You get a massive portion, as well. This truly makes for a great lunch or dinner.

Pecos Bill’s has several create-your-own selections. While you can order all of these without any of the meat options, you have to do it in person. You cannot modify when using Mobile Order in the My Disney Experience app.

EPCOT

Connections Eatery

In World Celebration, you’ll find Connections Eatery, a Quick Service spot that can get very busy during peak dining times.

As always, be sure to plan accordingly, especially if you want to try this absolutely fantastic vegan Black Bean Burger.

vegan black bean burger at connections in epcot

This house-made black bean burger for $14.19 comes with lettuce, tomato, guacamole, and chipotle sauce on a toasted brioche bun.

I love that this is a thick burger loaded with guacamole (you can’t see it, but trust me, it’s there). It has a slight bite to it and is all-around perfect. I can’t recommend this enough.

This is perfect for sharing and a great way to save money if you’re dining with someone else.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse

If you’re visiting the America pavilion at EPCOT, I recommend stopping by Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Brews (or you can Mobile Order).

Themed after Sam the Eagle from The Muppets, you can find a range of American backyard barbecue food options.

The “meal” I normally get here is the Macaroni and Cheese and French fries. These are two sides that each cost $5.49. First of all, this is some of the best mac and cheese I’ve ever had. You can tell it’s homemade and it isn’t drowning in a runny cheese sauce. You also get a decent portion!

macaroni and cheese and fries at regal eagle smokehouse in epcot

Then, there are the fries. These are seasoned wonderfully. You can also dip your fries in one of Regal Eagle’s homemade sauces. My favorite is the Sweet Mustard Sauce.

If you want something a bit more filling, there’s the BBQ Jackfruit Sandwich, which replaced the BBQ Jackfruit Burger.

plant-based bbq jackfruit sandwich at regal eagle in epcot

For $14.99. this comes with pulled barbecue jackfruit, coleslaw, and pickles on garlic toast served with a side of fries.

This is very good. Not only does the barbecue flavor come through nicely, but you get a huge portion. I actually like this better than the former sandwich thanks to the coleslaw and pickles that give it really great flavor.

Don’t forget to stop at Regal Eagle’s outdoor bar and grab yourself a tasty beverage! The Blackberry Moonshine Sour is the most popular cocktail. While it is good, I, personally, think it’s overpriced for what you get. I usually stick with a Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing IPA.

La Cantina de San Angel

La Cantina de San Angel is one of the more popular Quick Service spots in EPCOT — and for good reason.

You can order some quality Mexican-inspired dishes at the restaurant located in the Mexico pavilion.

empanadas con queso at la cantina de san angel

But, if you’re looking for a meatless option, you need to try the Empanadas con Queso for $14.75. These are fried flour tortillas filled with cheese and topped with sour cream, salsa verde, and queso fresco.

This dish never fails. Plus, these are some of the best black beans. I don’t know what’s in them or why they are so good, but sometimes I just order a side for myself — and they only cost $2.99!

I also recommend getting the nachos, but minus the ground beef. You can replace the ground beef with black beans, if you’d like. The tortilla chips are topped with white nacho cheese, tomatoes, jalapeños, and sour cream. You get so much for $15.50 and they are fantastic.

Keep in mind that Mobile Order isn’t available here so you will have to wait in line. And, sometimes, the line gets long.

Sommerfest

Sommerfest in the Germany pavilion is a popular Quick Service spot thanks to the amazing Pretzel Bread Pudding.

You can actually order a fantastic Vegan Bratwurst for $12.69 here — but it’s not on the menu.

vegan bratwurst from sommerfest in epcot

Cast Members will bring over a vegan bratwurst from Biergarten Restaurant, which is then topped with sauerkraut in a pretzel bun and served with the best house-made paprika chips.

If you’re vegan, be sure to double check the bun, because the pretzel bun is usually made with dairy.

While you can place a Mobile Order at Sommerfest, you’ll have to order the vegan bratwurst in person. Keep in mind you may have to wait a bit.

Hollywood Studios

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is one of the top Quick Service location in all of Disney World. Some may think that’s a bold claim, but the food is absolutely delicious and elevated for counter service.

You can find the restaurant in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios. There is a delicious plant-based dish for $13.29.

felucian falafel and hummus garden spread at docking bay 7 food and cargo in hollywood studios

This menu offering is the Felucian Falafel and Hummus Garden Spread that comes with chickpea falafel, roasted beet hummus, and beet-tomato cucumber relish topped with garlic toum sauce and served with grilled pita.

Sadly, this means that the Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread, which came with plant-based meatballs, herb hummus, tomato-cucumber relish, and pita is no longer on the menu.

plant-based felucian falafel and hummus garden spread at docking bay 7 food and cargo

But, I can confirm that the Felucian Falafel is very good, vibrant, and filling. While I still prefer the “meatballs” (I don’t think this will ever be topped), the new entree is worthy of a purchase. Docking Bay doesn’t ever seem to disappoint.

If you want something on the smaller side, there’s the Ithorian Pasta Rings kids’ meal for $9.49. This comes with a plant-based meat marinara sauce and pasta with a side of roasted vegetables served with your choice of a small low-fat milk or a small Dasani water.

The pasta and “meat” marinara sauce is pretty good. Galaxy’s Edge is a popular land, so you may want to try Mobile Ordering at Docking Bay, instead of waiting in line.

Ronto Roasters

Did you even visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge if you didn’t go to Ronto Roasters?

Yes, there are vegan and vegetarian options! Specifically, this Zuchii Wrap that comes with grilled zucchini, smokey chickpea-onion slaw, creamy garlic-tahini sauce, and fresh cilantro wrapped in pita bread.

vegan zuchii wrap at ronto roasters in hollywood studios

This is definitely on the pricier side at $12.99, but it is very good. If you can’t handle heat, you should avoid, because it does have quite the bite.

There is even a delicious vegan breakfast item you can order — the Triple Suns Breakfast Wrap. This costs $11.99 and is served with a plant-based egg, smoky chickpea-onion slaw, and roasted tomato sauce wrapped in pita bread.

I’m still keeping my fingers crossed that one day the Ronto-less Garden Wrap at Ronto Roasters in Disneyland will come to Disney World. It’s so good and comes with plant-based sausage!

Note: Ronto Roasters closes somewhat early (usually at 3 p.m.), so pay attention to hours during your visit. Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo does serve the standard Ronto Wrap after Ronto Roasters closes for the day, but not the plant-based offerings.

Woody’s Lunch Box

Welcome to Andy’s backyard! There’s no denying Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios is extremely well-themed. This includes Woody’s Lunch Box, the Quick Service location in the land.

The concept of Woody’s Lunch Box is Andy turned his lunch box into a walk-up window, where he serves delicious eats and drinks.

plant-based totchos in hollywood studios at woody's lunch box

You can find both adult and kid-friendly offerings here, including my favorite — Plant-Based Totchos that are served over potato barrels topped with “chili,” “cheese,” green onions, and corn chips.

For $10.49, you get a huge portion and it is so good. These make a perfect lunch or dinner.

You also shouldn’t pass on the grilled cheese sandwich. There is both a regular and a plant-based option for $10.99.

grilled cheese at woody's lunch box in hollywood studios

You can even choose a side of potato barrels, a mandarin, or a small cup of tomato-basil soup.

The regular kids’ grilled cheese meal is also a nice choice if you want something smaller. It comes with half a sandwich, a mandarin, potato barrels, and a choice of drink.

This area is constantly busy, so be prepared that there might not be a table available. And definitely utilize Mobile Order.

ABC Commissary

Over the years, ABC Commissary on Commissary Lane has stepped up its food game, including with its vegan California Burger for $13.99.

This dish features a farm fresh plant-based burger with sriracha mustard and balsamic-glazed grilled peppers and onions with a “mayonnaise”-ketchup blend, lettuce, and tomato.

california burger at abc commissary

I order steak fries as my side (these are excellent), but you can also choose an arugula-farro salad or apple slices.

This is truly a solid vegan burger. I also recommend ordering a Watermelon Margarita to go along with it. The margarita might be pre-mixed and a bit high in price for what it is, but it’s surprisingly really tasty!

Backlot Express

Backlot Express isn’t a Quick Service location in Echo Lake at Hollywood Studios that I’d normally run to, but I will for the vegan Teriyaki Tofu Bowl.

For $13.29, you get seasoned jasmine rice, marinated tofu, Yuzu-pickled edamame, carrots, cucumber, and onions drizzled with house-made lemon-tahini-chipotle vinaigrette, and sesame seeds.

This is such a light, refreshing, and delicious entree! The teriyaki sauce is phenomenal, as well. It’s also available on the kids menu, meaning you get a smaller portion for a cheaper price.

teriyaki tofu bowl at backlot express

I can’t recommend this enough. You can Mobile Order at Backlot Express, which I highly suggest due to the Quick Service spot forming long lines during peak lunch and dinner times.

Backlot Express also has a lot of indoor and outdoor seating. You should always be able to find a table.

Animal Kingdom

Flame Tree Barbecue

In Discovery Island, you’ll find Flame Tree Barbecue.

You can order a range of barbecue style dishes, including a really fantastic plant-based option — the Impossible Burnt Ends.

impossible burnt ends at flame tree barbecue in animal kingdom

For $12.29, you get Impossible burnt ends served with French fries and a vinegar-based crunchy slaw. The burnt ends are really good. The fries are fries, but they are still tasty.

As for the slaw, it isn’t good and pretty dry. Admittedly, I’m not normally a fan of slaw, so it’s no surprise I don’t like this.

Oh, and make sure you dip those burnt ends in the cannonball barbecue sauce provided.

Mobile Order is offered here, along with some of the best outdoor seating for a Quick Service location at Disney World (sit along the water for views of the water and Expedition Everest).

Satu’li Canteen

Satu’li Canteen might arguably be the most popular Quick Service in all of Disney World — and for good reason.

Located in Pandora — The World Avatar, Satu’li is themed after Na’vi culture and as if you’re eating inside a former RDA mess hall. It also some of the best food, including different bowls where you can choose your base and sauce.

chili-spiced crispy fried tofu bowl at satu'li canteen

I definitely suggest trying the plant-based Chili-Spiced Crispy Fried Tofu Bowl that comes with crispy fried tofu seasoned with chili-spice and topped with crunchy vegetable slaw and boba balls. You get a lot and it only costs $13.49.

The bases and sauces you an choose from include:

  • Base: Red and Sweet Potato Hash, Rice and Beans, Hearty Salad, Noodles (not plant-based), or you can choose no base
  • Sauce: Charred Green Onion Vinaigrette, Black Bean Vinaigrette (not plant-based), Creamy Herb Sauce (not plant-based), or you can choose no sauce

Saut’li Canteen can get very busy, especially during peak dining times, so I suggest utilizing Mobile Order to save yourself time and stress.

And don’t forget to order the exclusive Hawkes’ Grog Ale (aka the green beer). It’s one of my favorite beers in all of Disney World and pairs well with a Satu’li Canteen bowl.

Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes

I can’t believe it took me this long to try the Veggie Burger from Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes in Asia.

This is not vegan, but it is vegetarian. It comes with a crispy quinoa and vegetable patty, Pepperjack cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Yak sauce on a multigrain bun with fries.

veggie burger at yak and yeti local food cafes in animal kingdom

First, the veggie burger comes on a fresh multigrain bun! It’s so nice to have some variation versus the standard bun burgers are served on at the parks and hotels. Second, the quinoa and vegetable patty is perfectly crispy and becomes even better combined with the cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Yak sauce.

Also, these aren’t your standard theme park fries. They are thicker and covered with a little bit of seasoning that’s not overpowering.

Compared to several other vegan burgers across property, this is more expensive at $14.29, but the price shouldn’t dissuade you from trying this at least once.

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge

Roaring Fork

Roaring Fork at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge has one of the best sandwiches. I would eat this every day, if I could.

This is the Focaccia Caprese for $9.99. It is massive! This is definitely shareable. It comes with fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil aïoli, and a balsamic reduction on fresh focaccia bread.

Trust me when I say this is as good as it looks.

focaccia caprese sandwich at wilderness lodge's roaring fork

While not as good as the Focaccia Caprese, this Grilled Cheese Sandwich is pretty darn delicious.

It costs $9.29 and has a four cheese blend and crispy onion straws on fresh sourdough bread. It also comes with bacon, but you can ask for it without bacon.

grilled cheese sandwich at wilderness lodge's roaring fork

Neither of these sandwiches come with a side, but you can order fries or chips (for an additional charge).

Geyser Point Bar & Grill To Go

Also at Wilderness Lodge, Geyser Point Bar & Grill To Go is located next to the popular covered outdoor bar Geyser Point Bar & Grill.

Geyser Point Bar & Grill To Go has the same menu as Geyser Point Bar & Grill, but this is more of a Quick Service location. You can order at the window or even place a Mobile Order.

vegan vegetable burger from wilderness lodge's geyser point

This is truly a fantastic location serving stellar food. First, there is the plant-based Vegetable Burger served with spicy slaw, pepper jack “cheese”, lettuce, and tomato. Fries come on the side. If you don’t do spice, you may want to avoid.

This is on the pricier side at $22.00, but compared to other vegan burgers, it’s a bit more elevated. Plus, you’re paying a bar and lounge price rather than an average Quick Service location price.

vegan macaroni and cheese bites at geyser point bar and grill

If you want something smaller, you have to try the Macaroni & “Cheese” Bites for $11.00. I love these so much. They are also served with tomato and peppers.

If you decide you want to sit at Geyser Point to eat, you can either join the walk-up list in the My Disney Experience app or in person. Sometimes there’s not even a wait.

Disney Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter

Scat Cat’s Club – Café

It’s no secret that Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter is my favorite hotel at Disney World. One of the reasons is thanks to Scat Cat’s Club — Café.

This is the only place at Disney World where you can get beignets — and ones that are Mickey shaped. These are the best snack and dessert!

Keep in mind that if you order vegan beignets, they won’t be Mickey shaped.

mickey beignets at french quarter resort in disney world

You can order the following:

  • Mickey-shaped Beignets (6) – $12.99: served with choice of one dipping sauce
  • Mickey-shaped Beignets (3) – $7.99: served with choice of one dipping sauce
  • Specialty Beignets – $3.99: you can typically find limited-time and seasonal beignets during different times of the year
  • Mickey-shaped Beignets Sundae – $9.99: served with choice of ice cream and sauce topped with whipped cream
  • Baton Rouge Beignets (2) – $12.99: jazzed up with your choice of Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, Kahlúa Liqueur, or RumChata Liqueur (Contains Alcohol)

Mobile Order isn’t offered at Scat Cat’s Club — Café. Sometimes there is a wait, but, overall, orders move at a steady pace.

Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Spyglass Grill

Calling all taco lovers! Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort serves the best vegan tacos.

These plant-based Hearty Pinto Bean Tacos cost $9.99 and come with slow-cooked pinto beans, pickled vegetables, lime-cilantro “sour cream,” and cilantro rice.

vegan hearty pinto bean tacos at caribbean beach from spyglass grill

You get three nice-sized tacos that are perfect for sharing. I would go back to Caribbean Beach just for these. I also don’t love cilantro, but the rice is absolutely delicious.

The tacos are available at Spyglass Grill and Centertown Market. Mobile Order is offered.

Disney’s Pop Century Resort

Everything POP Shopping & Dining

Who knew a vegan burger could be so good at a hotel Quick Service restaurant?

Everything POP Shopping & Dining at Disney’s Pop Century Resort serves a fantastic Plant-Based Burger for $14.49.

It’s served with Impossible beef topped with special sauce, pickles, lettuce, and onions on a brioche bun. Fries are served on the side.

plant-based burger at disney's pop century resort

A bun can make or break a burger, and this is a good one. It held the “meat” and toppings in place and didn’t fall apart easily.

I haven’t had a Big Mac in years, but this reminds me of that.

Disney Springs

B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co.

If you need a quick bite while you’re exploring Disney Springs, you should check out B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. in the Marketplace section.

plant-based bratwurst sausage at b. b. sausage co. in disney springs

For $13.49, you can order the Plant-Based Bratwurst Sausage, which comes with sauerkraut and German mustard on a pretzel roll and chips. Every time I’ve had this, it’s been nothing but stellar.

There are bunch of other hot dogs and sausages on the menu, but they aren’t vegetarian or vegan-friendly.

Bonus: you can even place a Mobile Order!

eet by Maneet Chauhan

You can find eet by Maneet Chauhan, an Indian-inspired Quick Service spot, in the Marketplace section of Disney Springs (it’s next to the Disney’s Days of Christmas store).

There are so many vegetarian and vegan options on the menu, but, so far, I recommend the potato and pea Samosas for $11.95.

samosas at eet

These have a small amount of heat and you get two pieces served with tamarind and mint chutneys.

There’s also the eet Bread Service with Pimento Whipped Paneer. This costs $19.95 and comes with buttered naan, garlic naan, and masala vegetable sticks.

bread service at eet

There are also several dips, including pimento whipped paneer cheese, Indian pickle, coriander honey, and chutneys.

While all of this is great, the naan and pimento whipped paneer cheese go unbelievably well together.

What’s your favorite Quick Service restaurant at Disney World that serves vegetarian dishes?
